Depth Buffer artifacts

Hello all, i am trying to change the depth buffer so that parallax works better with intersecting objects. Putting the depth further away than it should be everything looks like it should. If i put the depth closer than it originally was then i get strange artifacts. I checked the depth pass but that looks alright. I also checked the depth culling but that also looks alright.
